Terrain Adjusters vs Combat stats (Using light and assault infantry)
I wanted to try to go micro intensive this playthrough and actually use light and assault infantry. I was just wondering how to balance out my templates. And if the Combat stats is more important then the terrain modifiers. So maybe I should just stick with normal infantry.
Or maybe upgrade the artillery on my light infantry (I have them with pack artillery atm)

Same combat width on all templetes 25.5

My light infantry now has:
SA 53,91
HA 11,95
Def 118,49
BT 43,05

Terrain Bonus:
Forrest: A 17,2 / D 15%
Hills: A 21,5% / D 15%
Mountain: A 15,7 / D 8%
Amphibious: A 13,1 / D 7%

Wanted to use them to support / augment mountaineers and marines.

Assault infantry
SA 106,82
HA 15,05
Def 153,41
BT 57,55

Terrain Bonus:
Town: A 16,8% / D 7%
Metropolis: A 16,8% / D 7%
Major City: A 16,8% / D 7%
Fort: : A 16% / D 7,3%
Wanted to use them as a pure siege / urban force

Normal infantry:
SA 98.72
HA 13,97
Def 145,99
BT 47,51

Terrain Bonus:
Forrest: A 1,9% / D 11,4%
Hills: A 1,2% / D 11,4%
Mountain: A -7% / D 4,4%
Amphibious: A -65,5 / D 7%
Town: A 10,4% / D 0,6%
Metropolis: A 10,4% / D 0,6%
Major City: A 10,4% / D 0,6%
Fort: : A 12,8% / D 7,3%

I thought the point of light infantry was movement speed and reduced supply demand.

Surprised you don't mention Militia. They are a lot cheaper, use less supply, get more soft attack than normal infantry (reduced combat width so more battalions) at a cost in defence and organisation but with a big defensive boost in urban.

Don't sleep on Mountain Arty. Especially its first upgrade. Check out those terrain stats and look at what you get. It's better than Light Arty...,

It also uses Light Vehicles instead of trucks. I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing.
