Multiplayer balance
Hey there.
I don't have the time or inclination to read 400 threads and Sigmar knows how many posts & responses, and I haven't seen an answer to this listed anywhere on the front page or 'click here' threads. The 'BALANCE Thread' doesn't really tell me anything, and I don't want to read 50+ pages of posts.

Is this mod intended to be playable in multiplayer with a semblance of balance?
My buddy and I just tried and it had me effectively quitting and not having any fun within 20 minutes because he grabbed wood elves and just kept stacking a bunch of Stalk + vanguard units and wiping out a bunch of my important units in 1 or two volleys, with no way for me to react. I tried fighting this a couple times and there was nothing I could do. Cav units died immediately because of the Ashenhawks, and anything else got melted because of 360 firing arc whillst running away and being buffed for AP damage by the Ashenhawk's aura.

Even though I could win the primary engagement with his actual army, I couldn't stop or deal with the micro'd stalk+vanguard units (one of which also has snipe?!). I already hated Vanguard+Stalk combos in vanilla, but we loaded up SFO to have fun with the new units and more lore-like representation of faction's armies.

So, to reiterate, is this mod actually balanced for MP at all or is it just intended for campaign?

I do head to heads all the time and it makes vanilla look like a joke. Granted some factions will still be better vs other factions but it's not grom, archer spam to win the game with a finger in your butt, or gorok saurus spam, click a rite and trample the other player with nary a care levels of stupid. The only faction I'd consider flat out OP is tiktaqtoe, the rest are far more competitive against each other than they are in vanilla.

What was your faction and what was his faction specifically? Cuz I imagine you made a very poor pick. Welfs are christ awful to play against because of new world roots, I'd only recommend going horde, nakai, tiktaqtoe, or coast against them because you need to be able to not only be fast as hell but work mostly independent of any owned territory.

Not campaign.

The question was is it balanced for MP or just campaign :c

Oh whoops, misunderstood your post, mb. Prob more balanced for custom battles than anything else. Most of the unit balancing done is in regard to custom battle performance and people play mostly that in the discord server.
