FSO Wood elves very hard - what a campaign
Damn, this must be the worst and toughest campaign I ran on WHII, with some save scumming because otherwise it is impossible to beat. Took me 163 turns to win vortext short campaign.

My impression is that the Vampire Coasts auto-solve combat is quite OP and destroying the high elves (corruption kills them really) + tomb kings (lack of regeneration). The fraction unit limit works well on lower difficulties, but on very hard, they just have doom stacks and very hard to beat as WE with limit armies.

First I became friends with Exiles of Nehek and launched attack against Cult of Pleasure (their Chaos prevented me to advance and wreck havoc).

After COP was down, an event was triggered on Ulthuan that I had to save that ancient city. Underground does not work here and your army moves slow - pain in the ass. And high elves cannot fight decently because apparently they lose hard vs. the dark elves. I had to split my army to prevent Ulthuan getting overrun, so I fought 2 fronts. Moreover, Dreadfleet was wrecking Ulthuan as well, but income for monies = raze settlements, but if you do that, then your army just dies off due to no 15% regeneration (so I have to occupy them) + corruption losses (WE shouldn't be in Ulthuan, but I want to prevent undead + dark elves overruning me in turn 60 (and they also have alliance with Skaven, so the entire world is against me).

Nonetheless, I kind of saved Ulthuan, but Exiles of Nehek got rekt hard and the Awakened took over entire Lustria, so I need a sub-par army to fight off the doom stacks getting north.

In the mean time the sisters were swiping entire north of Ulthuan Naggaroth to kill off Clan Moulder. So you come to turn 163 lol :)

Good job on the FSO stuff, really like it.

Did you use only archer cavalry and flying units? Or play "normal" style?

Used a good mix of standard units in army, but used the flying archers to destroy their elites first

ye because melee balls factions and monsterspam gets bit buffed in this mod. vampire coast monsterline and greenskin flooding as well as melee skaven flooding gets weird new extra summons i noticed + tons more hp + faster speed,

so all bow-oriented factions feel really bad to play, also notsure but they might have done something with bow accuracy
