wats up with the empire ???
hi I ussualy played vanilla on hard or very hard but with sfo I had to go down on easy and even that is a problem and it's only because of one faction, Empire, can someone explain me how in turn 30-40 Empire is able to muster 6-8 armies with high-top tier units with experience on silver or gold? em I missing something ? if not it's just not fun to play, plus auto resolve in this mod feels broken as hell

empire got some major buffs cuz it was impossible to play as cuz all the empire enemies would win. i played just yesterday with vlad and got it rolling over them with only vlad and no other casters.

my rosters consists of 3 varghaists he starts with, 1 blood knight and the rest was zombies, soon traded them for skeletons and got some units from raise dead, cairn wraith, corpse cart and thats all, dealt with some stacks of greatswords easy.

the empire is highly vulnerable from ambushes, abuse that, get a second lord near the frontier in force march and your main army in ambush stance. the AI cant stand to see a weak lord in forced march

The Empire seems to be currently broken. I am doing a Reikland campaign and the normal elector counts are just obliterating everyone around them with little to no input from me. I have played Reikland before and it was a great experience of survival against all odds - now I can just do nothing and let the electors take on the World.

We made a lot of tests since update release and in 1 test out of 10 Empire was able to take old world. Be sure to make clean mod install and check other mods.

That how I did it - clean reinstall for everything when The Last Kiss arrived. I only have SFO, the SFO More armies Submod, One Button Respec and Recruit Defeated LLs. Don't think any of them can affect the Elector's aggressiveness and success.

Sorry to say but i can confirm that virtually every "human race" is actually OP. Every neighbour is getting wrecked by them. Be it Norsca, Orcs or Vampires. In the beginning they have loads of low tier armies. Yes since they consist of low tier crossbow men and pikemen i can easily defeat them. But the other AIs just cant stand against these odds. Hell it seems they can even raise more quickly and easy armies then Vampires. And Vampires are able to resurrect units. And later on those low tier armies will consist of elite units, then its even game over for me.

Im using SFO Hard mod and SFO more armies. I think i read they are up to date and dont need to be updated. But maybe its also causing this.

The above experience i had 8 times in a row since im trying a chaos campaign. I startet VH/normal. That was my usual set up. Im down to normal/normal. With that setting im able to survive in the old way but only because i play every single boring battle against endless stacks of low tier human armies. One auto battle and the casualties might be to high and i cant survive the next ones.

But the empire is making progress, give it a few more turns and im expecting the doomstacks consisting of gold heroes, legendary arty, pegasus cav and stuff.

The mod is great and im trying to adjust to the above described situation but i wanted to confirm that since the last 2 Updates (not sure if it was only vampire kiss) the humans wreck havoc in the old world.

As I said, we dont have such results with SFO mod only.

@ecoone yep human, "good" factions are op as hell I tried 7 campaigns anything but human/dwarf factions from easy to very hard, they always dominate 90% of "evil" factions are massacred before 150 turn, and the chaos is not even close to hurting them :D once I played elfs and I was happy for chaos to arrive :D "finally some faction to keep empire at bay" chaos got rekt in 12 turns, that was a bit funny ngl

Hi everyone, I have exactly the same problem. Empire's factions are crushing everyone around them. I tried three times with Vampires Counts and there was no fun to fight against the Empire and their numerical advantage. Then I tried Sharsnik, Vampire Counts was eliminated at the turn 19, there was no fun at all again.
It's like there's no treat for the Empire, it just blob up and even the Kaos invasion cannot harm it.

Even after the clean install, I was having the same issues. I ended up using Unnatural Selection mod to help control the Empire factions. I gave Vamps +2, Azhag/Skarsnik +1, Rakarth +1, and Norsca +1. 55 turns in, Ostland is dead, Ostermark is holding 1 territory, Vlad is dead and Manfredd is pushing into Stirland. Drycha is dead. Marienburg is still single handedly repelling Norsca and Rakarth. Gelt controls all of Karak Hirn and even has a couple settlements in the badlands.

I'm in my second campaign (Last Defenders previously now I'm The Barrow Legion). Both games the Empire basically dominated half the world with ease. Despite adoring this mod and playing it endlessly the Empire is being... a pain in the neck ahha. Check this out, the autobalance with any Empire Army is crazy

yep autobalance is funky as hell, and clearly there is something up with empire, I tested 9 campaigns: 4 on easy, 2 on normal and 2 on hard, in 8 out of 9 Empire took half of the continent or more in turns between 70-100, and btw chaos invasion is no mach for empire, they get rekt in 7-12 turns

im not a moder but maybe its somehow linked with that insane auto resolve balance? I saw tiny empire armies 5-6 unit decimate other AI full stack army with very decent units

I think you're right. With their expansion so aggressive it would make sense if they win every battle they fight. Like my last campaign when chaos (legendary invasion) came the Empire knocked it aside like it was nothing.
This game I'm the wall against Chaos now the Empire is gone and boy was I wrong to set it to legendary invasion. I am getting wreaked through and through. But if they were getting auto resolve bonuses it would explain their easy victory against this massive force.

My last campaign with Kemmler I also put Chaos invasion legendary and plan was let Empire /Reikland bang its head against my Forts when I conquer elsewhere (Kemmler buildings...) and then watch Old world burn when chaos arrives.

Well...Reikland indeed banged its head to my forts and focused against me so that went as planned, but my master plan wasn't aware these super strong Empire minor factions. These minor Empire factions managed repel both waves of chaos invasion without Reiklands help.

At best Chaos managed get foothold at all Oblast areas (+Hell Pit), Troll country, whole Ostland and north parts of Talabecland and Ostermark and then it was pushed back and destroyed. Karl must be proud of his electors saving world when he was suicidal against my forts :D

As sidenote I am also worried about Vampire counts AI, seems to get killed very soon as others stated also.

But aside those I like this mod :)
