Desync Error after Chaos Invasions
Hey Radious, my friend and I have been long time subscribers to your mods, ever since the days of Warhammer 1 and we absolutely love it. It provides practically everything we would want out of a mod and we love it to death.

Unfortunately, over the past few months we've been having a serious problem. Usually my friend and I can get through 20 plus turns without a desync and if it does happen, we can usually automatically restore the game there and then or we simply load back in and keep playing with no problem. However, the last three campaigns we have played have run into the problem that starting around turn 62 (shortly after the first wave of the chaos invasion) until the arrival of archeon during the end turn sequence between turns 74 and 75 the game desyncs continuously. Restoring the game is almost impossible. We have played three separate campaigns where this has been an issue.

It started shortly after the Norsca drop when my friend and I played a campaign where I played as Har Ganeth and he played as Wintertooth. The farthest we got in this scenario was turn 69. I played the same battle that I had to fight during that end turn sequence well over a half dozen times in the hopes that just maybe it would work. But inevitably the game would desync somewhere during the rest of the turn order before we could get to our turns again.

The second campaign was one in which I played the Vampire Counts and he played the Beastmen. In this campaign we kept making back up saves just in case, once the first chaos wave hit. We started having the same problems as our previous campaign but reloading slightly different saves helped us "brute force" the problem until we got to the end turn sequence of turn 74. This is when Archeon was supposed to spawn. We would get through the end turn sequence and the classic cutscene would play for the both of us, and then it would be my friend's turn but he would be completely unable to play the game. He could not select his armies or agents., he could not pass the turn over to me by either pressing "enter" or clicking the end turn button. In short the UI was unusable even though the game would not directly desync in this scenario.

Now in these two campaigns we had been using a diplomacy mod called, "Better AI Diplomacy 2" by Minos which was said to be compatible with your mod at the time. This mod has since gone out of date since the Vampire Coast has dropped but we do not see why it would have been the source of the problem since it only changed a few diplomacy values to make things more lore friendly and make it so the ai would not be so stubborn in accepting sensible treaties like trade or non-aggression with friendly factions of the same race.

Since the Vampire Coast dropped my friend and I started a third campaign with ONLY Radious Parts 1 and 2 in the hopes that this issue might have resolved itself. Unfortunately, it has not. Once again, we have been unable to make it through an end turn sequence shortly after the arrival of the first wave of chaos. The exact turn is 63 going into 64.

We've looked around and some suggestions have said people sometimes have incompatible connections but that is certainly not our case because as I stated before we are more than capable of getting through 20 plus turns with no issues at all and we are also roommates who share the exact same wifi connection.

We sincerely hope that you can help us remedy this problem because it truly does break our hearts that we can't finish a campaign with your kickass mod. If there is any sort of solution that we can try to implement ourselves that you can think of, we'd be more than happy to give it a shot.

If it would help in any way, I would be more than happy to send you any or all of the save game files that I've mentioned here if you could just let me know how. We would also be happy to share the exact specifications of our systems although they are more than adequate to run the game.

Lastly, we just want to say thank you for all of the hard work you have put into this mod and all your mods in general. We truly appreciate it and they have given us hundreds of hours of fun.

Desync issues are problem since coop was introduced in TW games. However with too many mods it can cause issues. We have dozens of coop games running without issues with our mods and official submods only. Cant talk for others.

New dlc requires complete new start in coop games, CA changes. MP part of the game is not moddable so we have nothing to do with it. Only CA can improve that.

But as always in coop i suggest save often on 2-3 different places.

i made a few testing to that desync error and it is mostly cursed by the prformence difference between the two pc's meaning if one pc is loading the game much faster desync can happens . Or both pc's are to low than this can happen too .
If your systems is too weak even radious plus just a few supmods , or especially mortal empires will not work and it could even happen in single player games .

As i played with a friend that had an equal pc to mine ( we both played with high end pc )
we never discovert this problem at all and we played with a lot of mods . As i started play the game with somebody who had a much weaker system than mine we had heavy problems with that . And as he upgraded is pc it got better . You can also redruce the chance of getting this error by lowering the grafic of the weaker system and maybe the last patch of the CA also improved the engine a bit so they lowered the chance of getting the error .
Also mods Like Less Magic effects can improve performence much i personally always play with that cause i think most magic effects look dumb like for example if undeads start routing . It is an useless extra animation .

Thanks for the help guys. I just wanted to clarify a few things. My friend and I have very similiar PCs. We both have custom built gaming laptops that easily run the game at medium settings with ultra unit scale. We both load into battles at almost the exact same time. Sometimes I load in first or sometimes he does and the difference is only a second or two for loaing in. We have also never desynced when loading into a battle. The only way our PCs could be more similair is if they were identical. We also never lag during a batter or otherwise. This specifc desync issue happens only during the end turn sequence and only after chaos has invaded, somewhere after 60+ .

If anyone has any recommendations as to how we could go about rescuing our Vampire Coast campaign which is our most recent and only uses Radious Mod parts 1 & 2 I'd greatly appreicate it.
