Targets of archers
hi,
i like archers. But i hate them too. The reason is shot: even in 2019/20 CA can not make a good archer-target-priorisation.

1. Archers who must fire over troops have animation issues if the enemys are getting closer (i think at 50-75m). They are aiming, cancel aming and than instant shoot.

2. Archers target pririsation is worse. They will attack an unit, even if no unit can be hit or only 1 Archer can fire. They try to hit the first unit they fire, even if there are much better (and much more dangerous for the archers) targets.

Is there a possibility to change this? So that for example if the hitchance or the number of archers which can reach/hit the enemy is lesser than 20% compared to other enemys, they will change their target. Or maybe, the will change if hitchance or the number of archers which can reach/hit is lesser than x % and there are better targets.

There are also musketeers who like to shoot at an enemy in the flanks (only 10 units can fire), because it was the first target in the hitrange and ignore the units are comming in front of them were 100% of the units could shoot.

yes, you can give them targets manually but that does not make much fun, espacially in the midgame of a battle. You have other issues, instead of looking after your archers and targets are changing fast.

And maybe increase the angle a unit can fire. It happens often, that a rangeunit want to turn around, even if the enemy unit is fully in the angle and range.

What do you think about this? Is this fixable in a mod like radious (my must have mod ;) )
