also, it seems that Flares don't effect incoming missiles for some reason? Does anybody else experiance this.
Late reply but I have figured out a way to make it work with triggers synched to the systems if you want to know how to do that.
A simple example would be to put down one air defense system in Eden. Set it to careless/force hold fire. Then create a trigger and size it to the range you want the air defense to have. For example if you create a circle shaped trigger and a radius of 1000 meters it should have an activation range of 2000 meters but won’t engage until an aircraft enters the trigger. I also usually raise the trigger off the ground by a little to let my pilots be able to evade the systems if they fly low enough.
Set the trigger activation to players only present in the trigger area. Or you can set it to BLUFOR present it’s up to you and what you need. Make it repeatable. Then the code you need to look up the code on how to set the group from careless/force hold fire to combat/fire at will. I have some compositions I can share with you so you can see that as it’s hard to explain over text. But that’s essentially how you’d set it up.
I would like to see those compositions :)
