I would guess it is just a matter of fixing the bug but this is just my observation...
were fighting another SNPC from Vindictus, and one of them became hostile mysteriously (a NPC from here), thus crashing the game.
Maybe you have a point? I have seen them shooting each other more then once so that may be an issue. I hope this gets fixed soon.
And once upon a time, they were shooting me and a bunch of other friendly NPCs. Ever since I found this error and unsubbed, there were no more indice errors. Hmm... According to my knowledge, the NPCs may be conflicting with the extended C menu? Maybe not....
But this addon DOES in fact use other Npcs from other users, maybe that's it.
This issue only occurs with projectiles in my experience... so I would assume that 'as you were refering to...' the projectiles are coded in a way which targets entities and when the entity is itself, maybe this would be the cause of the game crashes?
I have used other/the same characters outside of the SNPC menu and it runs perfectly fine so that seems to fit within your theory.
We need the plugin [ GODS ] to help us!
But other then that, I have used Vanilla netrual NPC's and they don't crash the game.
For now Extended Properties Menu looks Suspicious... Dosen't it allow you to switch hostile and friendly?
Welp, guess I have to resort to TF2 Npc's for now. :(
