It would be so cool if it just spread a path of gas, and it can be lit on fire with the Flare-Gun, or a Taunt, where the whole gas line bursts into flames

Alt-fire creates a cloud of nerve gas, causing anybody walking through it take mini crits.

Alt-fire = creates a cloud of gas for 10 seconds , when enemy is in the gas he take mini-crits ( 30% DMG ) and gas causing damage like fire
+25 afterburn damage (4 damage every 0,5 seconds )
Info : afterburning replace the green chemical poison ( it's only skin of normal fire )
+ chemical stream is about 20% longer

I think it should be called the Fumigator

I think that alt fire should creat a gasonline blast and enemy covered in gasoline will be 30% more vunerable to fire damage.

I'd like if it sprayed toxic gas, that stay in an area for a time (10~15 secs), creating walls of gas. players who touch the wall got sick, and receive increasing damage every second (10, 12, 14, 17, 20, 25, 30, 35). Ammunition could be very reduced.
Wall shoud be fearsome enought to stop an atacking team.
Invisible spies would not be exposed, but keep coughing. Maybe the visual feedback for the sickened players should be on the face, so disguised spies wouldn't show the feedback cause of the mask.
Pyros could be invulnerable to the gas, and air blasts could dissipate that wall.

That would put the Pyro in a defensive, path-control, char. Almost llike Demomans role.

Here’s my suggestion for stats, perfect for what the Pyro is unmatched in; hit and runs:

+ Afterburn deals 2% of target’s current max health as damage per half second
+ Airblast is constant stream as primary fire is but at twice rate of ammo cost
- -50% damage penalty

Here’s a graph to show the first mechanic, keeping in mind that all damage in TF2 is rounded up

Alt-Fire spread toxic gas that can cause damage to any enemy players near it, gas can be ignited and when it is ignited it explodes and leavess a trail of fire where the gas was for 20 seconds
+20% movement speed on wearer
deals either crits or mini-crits to cloaked and/or enemy spies

Alt-fire spreads nerve gas which can be ignited for extra damage, players in gas will take rapid damage and cough, revealing them
Mini-crits enemies in gas
-45% damage
-25% primary ammo
-no random crits
-gas hurts allies as well as enemies
