With the increase of the level cap to 40 I still find 1 to be too few to be comfortable with, but 2 to be too many/too generous as I've been running with 2 since launch (using your TWW1 mod copied in).
It could be done by alternating 1 skill point every odd level and two every even level.
So instead of 39 skill points by level 40 as default or 78 skill points as this mod gives, you'd get 59 total - which is nearly the same as the skillpoints granted in TWW1 at max level with your mod (58).
EDIT: Expanded reasoning:
Since lords in TWW2 have roughly the same number of possible skillpoints as those in TWW1 and thus the same number needed to grab goodies while still having to make some hard choices (exceptional LLs with a huge number of skillpoints excepted), it is likely that I'm not the only one who'd like an improved skillpoint mod for TWW2 that granted us roughly the same number of points in TWW2 as we got in TWW1 with our favourite skillpoint mod, Sebidee.
EDIT2: Went and made a quick-and-dirty one for my own use, which is what I should have done in the first place rather than being lazy and bugging you to do it. Still, I'll leave this entry here in case others think the same about point balance in the sequel.
