Total War: WARHAMMER II

Darker and Deeper Sea
KirasNote 9 Oct, 2017 @ 5:10pm
Variety & Immersion
Disclaimer: I LOVE the current change over Default

I feel that it is lacking a key feature to make it feel more realistic. More shallow water.

Right now everything is shallow for the first 300ft (guess based on proportions) off of shore then followed by a massive drop off into the abyss. While better than the Vanilla, it is still not as pleasing to look at as it could be.

Places that should have more shallow brightly colored waters:
  • Thin Rivers
  • Bays
  • Archipelagos
I have plenty of further ideas for how to program reefs and such, but I feel that those 3 are an essential starting point.

That's a good initiative my friend but for now we're just able to mod the sea texture colour schemas. Make it lighter, darker and etc.

But making shallow, deeper seas and rivers and bays would be a major breakthrough!

Sad to hear, but thank you for informing me on how the Darker Sea mod works and it's limitations.

It is still an outstanding stepping stone to the great mods ahead of us.

Yea, unfortunately that's all we can do now within the game' limitations my friend. What i like most with CA they constantly improving the campaign map to make it; like pretty much a living entity.

Woo! Glad to hear it! Thank you!
I'll be sharing that with everyone I know once I've got my immersion collection of mods more finalized :)
