CTD with Estalia
Crynsos,

First off thank you so much for the mod, I am a big fan and it makes the ME campaign exponentially better.

I am currently having an issue with my Estalia campaign. Everything was running smoothly until I got to the end of turn 72. After hitting end turn, the game always crashes when it gets to Zhufbar's turn. I got a military alliance with them after the first few times to see what was happening on their turn before the crash. At the beginning of their turn they select a dwarf engineer agent and then I get the Warhammer has stopped responding notification.

I have tried disabling certain mods I am using but to no avail. I looked for compatibility issues but have not found any yet and my mod list worked fine for the first 71 turns. I even went back to my oldest save (only turn 70) and played those two turns differently to see if I could create a different result but it still crashed on Zhufbar during turn 72.

Unfortunately none of this worked so I was curious if you had any advice (I have next to no knowledge about modding so maybe there is something which will be obvious to others I am missing) I have been using the same mod list for the whole campaign. Can't really see any obvious problems with that list and I never heard of such a random crash before, especially as most crashes occur much earlier in the campaign and are much easier to track than such a late one. Are you trying to fast forward the AI turns? I heard that for some reason that can cause crashes even in vanilla, so try not doing that. Pretty sure that if this were a common issue, I would have heard of it beofre.

Also try to unsubscribe and resubscribe to all mods while having the launcher, so that potentially corrupted mods can get fixed. Though this does not work always, as steam also caches its mod downloads quite a lot.

Otherwise the only other thing I can suggest is to try and remove other mods until you went to the bare minimum necessary to load into your save or try a older Unlocker versions, which while they shouldn't affect this might help for some obscure reason.

Thanks for your response, i really appreciate it. I generally don't fast forward turns as I like to watch what the other factions are doing so that was not it (tried again last night though just in case). I also tried to unsubscribe and resubscribe to all mods and use the bare minimum mods approach and unfortunately those did not work.

Could it be a problem with the base game itself? I have only played two Mortal Empires campaigns so far and had a similar bug the last time I played. In my first ME campaign I played as Skarsnik and got to turn 185 and then the game would randomly crash on the Blue Vipers turn no matter what I did in a similar way to my current campaign. I could not see what was going on on their turn because I couldn't get an alliance. I just let that campaign die though because Tomb Kings were coming out in like a week so I was planning on doing Vortex with them anyways. I was using a similar collection of mods (all pre TKs patch) so when it happened this second time I assumed it was due to mods but could it be due to a problem with the installation of ME itself? I have never had this problem on my Vortex campaigns (finished two of those). My vanilla game is also buggy in that I can't fast forward during battles, even when I click the fast forward buttons it just continues to go at normal speed. While that issue is likely unrelated to the CTDs maybe it shows there is a corrupted file with my original install of the base game? I am not super computer savvy so don't know if this would help at all but would it be worth uninstalling and then reinstalling the base game on steam? If I do that will I lose my campaign saves?
