Hey bud, so on the discussion of the Generals Training. Maybe just put the number of units for the cutoffs and not make it so wordy, since you can't really specify the text. like 6 and 12 and does that include the General? I assume it does?

Woohoo you can edit in here!! just like normal forum!

The numbers 6 and 12 include generals, of course. They have a bodyguard unit, which are also a unit and not the least one. I think it is better the way it is. It should be clear that the command trait depends on the rank of the general, the amount of units, and whether or not a character is already adjusted to command (being a statesman or commander).

I am not getting any new retainers for all of my generals, the only thing that keeps popping up is veteran barbarian guard. and When I lose my generals to battle or old age, I lose those retainers such as -10% upkeep, legionary petra

You have a 20% chance to gain an extra second-in-command when your faction leader levels up. Veteran guards will depend on the culture you fight (after a battle) and chances may vary. Representatives are only for the heads of the clans/houses... So maximum 4 characters can have them, but they should come back once another head is appointed (the turn after).

my generals lose influence over time. does this mod change the way generals get influence? all of my generals should be generating influence not losing it. I cannot fill the vacant offices, and I only notice that their influences increase after winning battles

That they lose influence is not because of this mod. Should be some other mod or just vanilla mechanics that is causing this...

I am not using any other mod, in fact I accidentally had this going during mid campaign, that might have something to do with it. I wanted to try it, but not just yet. I have new generals but I can't put assign them any new retainers because none are showing up in the pool anymore
Xeryx 27 Oct, 2017 @ 10:35am
you can't assign retainers much, they will be assigned when your generals and leaders get battle experience, or are house head and other good stuff.

that's the thing, my generals and governors are leveling, but no new retainers show up
Xeryx 27 Oct, 2017 @ 10:38am
not leveling, combat experience as in battles!
MoDan 27 Oct, 2017 @ 11:04am
they are getting that too, but still, nothing
Xeryx 27 Oct, 2017 @ 11:45am
it will take 5 good battles

This mod requires a new campaign. Doesn't work as it should when you start using it in the middle of one. It's in the description.

ok, that is what i figured, I just wanted to make sure. I subscribed one day, but that was after I played a session and then totally forgot about it. so when i started again I forgot to uncheck the mod

I started a new campaign. and the retainers do not work. I have two generals with retainers and one of them is the emperor. the retainers are the ones you made, and nothing else. I have a level 7 general and he cannot generate any of the retainers from vanilla.
