Having trouble?
The most common problem is the inventory items missing/flickering, so you can't place any of the new blocks.
To fix that, or any other problem do a manual install.

Manual install:

Should work when you start FtD.

If the mod still doesn't work properly please send:
- a file named "output_log.txt" from your FtD directory, that should contain some helpful error messages
- what operating system are you on
- do you have any other mods beyond ProtecTech plugin

i found out that in my documents mod folder there was still a "missile hatches" mod folder even though i deleted from disk on the game and unsubscribed from it. i think that mod conflicts with this mod on some level because once i deleted that folder this mod started working perfectly fine. If anyone is still having trouble and has used the missile hatch mod in the past just try this out. Maybe it'll work.

Yep, this mod includes hatches so conflicts with the standalone version.

I problem is I can't place blocks (I havent had any other mods before)(only blocks for this mod nothing else as far as I can see I)(and the enventory for the new missiles is very odd the options/blocks randomly dissapear)

I have the same problem. Also, when I move my mouse cursor to select an item, the "less"&"more" heading, the coloring option bar at the bottom, and some other items in the missile expansion tab.

Sorry but I just managed to get it to work.. yay! I just deleted all mods and only installed the missile and ProtecTech mods. Now I'm trying to install the other mods I had to see what works and what doesn't.

Looks like a workshop problem, could you try manually installing?

When you have both zips extract them to:
C:\Users\USER_NAME\Documents\From The Depths\Mods
(or the equivalent on your machine)

Should work when you start FtD.

Had trouble getting the mod to work, but doing as suggested here (uninstalling all other mods, installing this mod and protec tools, and then installing any other mods desired [that are compatible]) worked for me. HOWEVER, now, after constructing a launch base (with resources) and placing four large launch pads on top, each 9 gantries in height (length), my rockets launch into space, literally. They're configured for laser guidance and by following them into space I've determined that they do, eventually, turn and try heading toward the target but they explode around 1500 meters above ground. My target is ground based. I've removed the two ejectors I had for each launch pad, but it had little to no effect. Any advice?

For further analysis, I've added another fin (one near front and one near back) of each missle but with the same number of gantries. I shortened the guidance delay from 1.0 s to 0.3 s for all missiles. I test fired them and found the average speed to be 45 m/s, so I set the targeting input as such. Now, one goes into space and the other three fall halfway between my rocket base and the intented target and do a little dance together before exploding. Is it just me?

None of the smaller missile setups that I tried would track to the target using the laser designator. So, I tried using IR targeting systems instead. Those, also, would not track to targets. Can't just be me.

People still having trouble:
post the things mentioned at the start of this thread, can't do anything if all I have is "doesn't work".

- Fins were nerfed a lot, you need at least 2-3 for anything but semi-dumbfire rockets
- For vertical launch L missiles add 3-10 sec ramp time(turn while they are slow and less clumsy)
- Infra and laser vertical launch missiles need a one turn module. Make sure you have it or switch to radar

I you have all of the above and they still don't work post a blueprint and the data in the first post.

I had a one turn module on all missile types. The IR missiles were launched horizontally, same with the laser guided ones once I tried using smaller missiles.

Active Radar missiles are also not tracking to targets for me. What the heck? The small quad-missiles I was using for this test had FOUR fins on them. APN and Target Guidence Systems with a One Turn module. It's the damn(d)est thing...
