Firewall Issue
Hello,

I am having issues with getting Athena working on my computer.

Scenario:
I have 2 computers, I am trying to use Athena on my 2nd computer (doesnt have game running). It was working before but unsure what happened for it to not connect anymore. I have the port 28800 open in my router.

I have done some troubleshooting and found out that Athena when i turn my Firewall Off on my Gaming PC.

I don't want to do this for security reasons. I am unsure how to actually enable internet connection via program. Was hoping someone on here would be able to assist.

I am using McAfee MultiAccess Total Protection.

Port 28800 doesn't have to be open on your router because the traffic never touches the router. Traffic will leave your devices and traverse to the router if the destination is on a different subnet but that's not the case here. This is a connection within your own network and the port has to be opened in the windows firewall on your arma pc.

And remove that 28800 firewall entry on your router for safety.

I ended up fixing the issue. I went into my anti virus program on both computers, and targeted both as trusted. Once that was done, i was able to load the maps by pressing start. Thank you for the message back!
