So is this mod just completely broken now?
Is there any actual way to get this mod working in 2020?

edit: forgot to update this but forever ago i figured out to just not launch gmod in x64 and just run it normally which for some reason i didn't try but yeah that's all you do ok unsubbed from discussion

Try change GMod version to Chromium.

Yeah Chromium only works with media player.

I figured out why it wasn't working for me, I was using the wrong chromium branch lol

right click gmod and go to beta
yeah I'm having the same problem but none of these things work. like when I try to start a server to watch videos with friends and we try to put in a video it just says "There was a problem processing this video"

Server owners need to replace the default api key located in the sh_youtube.lua file to get the "unable to process request", "There was a problem processing this video", and "403" errors in console to go away. the file with the old api key is (typically) located : ...\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\gamemodes\cinema\gamemode\modules\theater\services

You need to get an api key because the current one has been used so much that it is reaching its daily quota (from so many maps) get one here:

how do you replace api key?

I think it's because adobe flash got shut down
