It's pretty well balanced. While the Empire heavily relies in their warships and industry, the Rebels got way better fighters.
It's all about strategy in AotR. Hit and run tactics should work pretty well to bleed the enemy off credits.

Many thanks. I just found myself being overwhelmed quickly, I couldn't divide my fleets up to defend all my open planets and build more ships at the same time.

I had this same problem but i suck at eaw I even got destroyed in the first 20 minutes even if i turn it on easy I have problems. But then again im trash.

My advice would be to abandon some planets to better defend others.

stop making mods you suck at it this is surppose to fun, there is nothing fun about this game you are so busy being attcked and counter attacked you don't have time to enjoy anything, I will not be down loading anymore of your mods

The AI cheats and knows exactly where you are weak and how much forces he should send to win an auto-resolve battle. This is a vanilla game issue, not a mod issue.
If you don't have any defenses they'll divide their forces and attack you everywhere.
If you have solid defenses they'll eventually gather up a force big enough to attack you somewhere, still where your defenses are weakest, and a place they can reach, but it means they won't have enough forces to attack everywhere.

I usually just abandon most planets except the core, and the bastion system. I build a hypervelocity everywhere I can, and build a strong garrison + units. I literally never get attacked more than like twice every 10 minutes now, and when I do get attacked they always try to go for a core system with a hypervelocity gun, so they all die. After I am finished completely maxing out my current planets, then I just blitzkrieg an entire faction down since by that point I have almost 20k income, and a large fleet of advanced units

Forget trying to play as blacksun, you start with 7-8 planets and a handful of
paper ships. The enemy has HUGE fleets you can do nothing about...
NOTHING balanced about this mod. It used to be good byt it has gone to crap....
Also you have frak all income so... Dead and gon in less than 5 min....

thrawn annihilated the new republic who had 1000's of ships with just about two dozen ships which were mostly dreadnought cruisers and paper ships plus one ISD2

What i did was just survive and get alot of star destroyer and got the death star and blew up almost all of the planets so i didnt have to deal with ground. P.S. I destroyed the whole map execpt the middle XD.

i have on easy i try all campaigns and i got destroyed fast how can i play on easy when its not
