Confusing mod mechanics
There are things I dont understand. One being the games mechanic and two about units mechanics.

One WHY is everything so expensive?!

Two: How do you use Bail Organa? In the beginning Mon Mothma gives me a missing to use Bail to go to different planets to convert them or something. What am I supposed to do with him?

Three: What's the Y-Wings secondary weapon? Says something about "fire mode" but I have no idea what it does. Is it the usual Ion cannons or does it make it so it can combate fighters?

Everything is so expensive to make it more interesting. What and when you build matters now, as are all the ships you may lose in battle, lose an ISD and that's your entire income for a week gone up in smoke.

Bail Organa: Send him alone to an Empire planet and if it's one of the right planets you will have an option to have him negotiate. (the same mechanics for spying with the scout Y-wings)

Y-wings secondary weapons: Ion Cannons, they do more damage to shields and slow down the reactions of ships without shields (move slower, fire slower, technically).

It would be interesting I guess but by the time I save up I lost three planets. It's TOO expensive and is unfair against the economic advantage of the empire. They have more planets which means more money. When I finally get some decent ships I lose it all to a single fleet.

That's part of the challange, overcoming the strength of the your enemies while covering your weaknesses. Frankly all sides have challanges to overcome but people have overcome them (the Empire has a massive border to defend), just try stuff and don't be afraid to restart, especially as Rebels since they're start is pretty rough. Losing planets is not the end, as long as you made them pay dearly for them or you didn't lose much. Bleed them dry while conserving your forces. Read up on the tips section for more info.

Try a different planet with Organa, not every planet gives something, focus on the coreworlds one. Make sure he is alone in a slot above the planet, it must still be held by an enemy (if not the Empire only).

That's part of the challange, overcoming the strength of the your enemies while covering your weaknesses. Frankly all sides have challanges to overcome but people have overcome them (the Empire has a massive border to defend), just try stuff and don't be afraid to restart, especially as Rebels since they're start is pretty rough. Losing planets is not the end, as long as you made them pay dearly for them or you didn't lose much. Bleed them dry while conserving your forces. Read up on the tips section for more info.

Well it's TOO challenging. Everything is expensive and so are the infantry so im very weak and dont stand a chance against ISD's. I cant even make Y-Wings.

I tried but it keeps saying "Organa is on a diplomatic mission. Try moving him to another planet to get in contanct"

WTF is wrong with this mod?! Was it made so unfair on purpose as an experiment? Cause i'm not the only one who finds this mod to be extremely unfair. It wouldnt be so bad if everything wasn't so damn expensive. Even the price reduction from heroes doesn't do a damn thing. It's barely noticable. Oh and ISD's can REPAIR itself? Oh yeah that's just soooo fair. I almost destroyed a ISD's shield generator and thought "ok maybe I can actually play this mod if I can just take its shields down then destroying at least one ISD would be an achievement" got it down to 29%. Checked on my Y-Wings health "eh they'll be fine" went to check the ISD. I noticed the shield generator was at 30% and I thought "ok I could of sworn it was at 29" then I noticed it go up to 31!!!! HOW IS THAT FAIR?! It's already back to yellow and almost half way repaired! (im playing now as I write this) I did manage to destroy it but it didnt matter cause the victory class apparently has an instant kill beam which destroyed my smaller cruisers. My Nebulon B got demolished by the ISD and the victorys just cruised over to my station unopposed and destroyed it. I was nowhere near destroying the ISD and my fighters got destroyed by a tie bomber and the only thing I managed to take from them is a squad of scouts.....So when do I start having fun?

There are plenty who can handle ISDs and the mod, plenty who enjoy the challenge. If you are not having fun, no one is forcing you to play the mod, there is always the vanilla game and other mods, give those a try and have fun.

Modules repair over time, for everyone, including you. Fairness comes from giving the player the tools to overcome their circumstances, not from making everything equal. Be warned, the Executor respawns in 2.6

There are plenty of tips for those willing to improve in the tips discussion, but if you are unwilling to adapt to your faction's strength, weaknesses and play style that's on you.

Well I would like to play it but its literally impossible. My longest playthrough on this mod is at least 12 to 15 minutes. I played and lost every single planet. I cant get any capital ships. I can only afford a few and they are all weak. I cant even get damn bombers cause I need to pay to upgrade the station but by then I lost three planets and I am usually doing nothing but waiting for more credits and it doesnt help that im losing money cause i'm losing planets.

Every battle is unfair. I only won two battles cause all I had left was three planets and one had a Mc80 cruiser and with the one it made things a little bit easier. I was able to put up a decent fight. I won but lost 92% of my fleet. The next one I had to retreat. I only had Hoth and Mon calamari. I decided "screw it, I lost" and I quit the game. There is no fun in playing a game when every time you play you lose. You lose the second you play.

I am up against ISD's and my best way is Y-wings so I can destroy the shield generators but I cant do that cause I need to upgrade stations but I cant upgrade stations cause I need credits for ships but I cant make decent ships cause they are too expensive and can only make a few but I cant make ships cause I need to toughen up my ground troops but I cant add more ground troops cause i'm being attacked and I know its an impossible fight so I auto resolve and my ships retreat. Then they send Darth vader and a few other stupidly OP heroes and alot of ground troops which destroy my weaker rebel soldiers and tanks. So I send them straight to a point but by the time they cap the damn thing i'm surrounded and I lost 90% of my troops. I finally figured out Bail but it's pointless cause the planets help me until AFTER I become the New Republic (which is an impossible objective in this mod)

I'm on the defensive the ENTIRE. TIME. I cant make anything good cause I need to upgrade my tech level but I cant cause I need my credits for my weak ass military!

This mod is impossible! It's unfair! Completely unbalanced. The rebellion is too weak. I'm an ant against a tank. It's a losing fight. The game is a lost cause the moment I spend my credits on three things and then i'm broke. Then while i'm waiting for money I lose six damn planets.

The mod is more stressful then fun. It should be called stress simulator empire at war FOC addon.

Build the structures for said tech levels. You need open space on the planet or in orbit for the tech level building. You need the previous techs buildings, you can't skip from 1 to 3 for example.

I wouldn't have a problem with that system only one problem makes that a chore. The fact everything is so expensive I cant afford it!

If the mod is going to have ridiculous prices and make you go broke from something as simple as ONE cruiser! I'm talking about a Nebulon B! I sudjest GIVING YOU MORE CREDITS!! That's one of my biggest complaints about the mod. You put huge stupid price tags on a simple fighter squad and I cant even get a fleet going and the Empire has Star destroyers more powerful then my ships I have available. I dont have Y-wings because surprise surprise! They are available with a better station or the next tech level (cant remember I never get very far when I play. Cant even conquer a single planet. Let alone win a space battle for that matter) but I cant AFFORD to do that so I cant even beat a single star destroyer. Then I cant prepare troops because im broke and while im waiting for the next day just to get a couple hundred credits I lost two planets, reducing my income.

So when does the fun start?

AS for you:

STOP SPENDING ON GROUND TROOPS.

You need to prioritze wining in space. No amount of ground troops is gonna hold a planet, ever. If the enemy has the system, he has the planet. sooner or later.

WIN IN SPACE!


As for tactics:

Spy on enemy location, then attack the weak links.

The empire starts with a broad border, go look with heroes or scouts and attack there.


YOU complain about cost, but think about what the empire has to cough up for one of their main line staples.

You talk to me like im stupid. Dont you think im AWARE about winning space battles? How can I win space battles if a few ships causes me to go bankrupt? I cant get capital ships cause I need a 30,000 station which I cant afford. I already need 15,000 to get the tech level up.

Well excuse me for thinking a good ground defense will hold a planet if the Empire has space control of a planet I couldnt defend because I have no sizable fleet. I'm not the only one complaining about this mod. Ive seen others in the forums complaining about the balancing. Similar issues to what im complaining about here. I'm not the only one who thinks the mechanics of the mod is unfair and unbalanced.

Do you think it sounds fair you can only afford two weak Nebulon B's or one Nebulon B and three fighters before the Empire sends a fleet of a Imperial star destroyer and three victory class star destroyers out of nowhere? They mow down your fleet like it's nothing and your left with no fleet and no credits to build one. While the empire and black sun sends fleet after fleet and takes each planet as you watch helplessly. EVERYONE complains about this in the mod so dont whine about me whining. People are fed up and so am I.

I already mentioned what happens with space battles. If I use credits to get the tech up to get Y-Wings I lose a few planets. I use credits to make a fleet and the ships are too weak to stand up against a star destroyer. Yes Home one and the MC80 helps but they and my dreadnauts can only do so much. But in my recent playthrough I managed to take out the Executor with little casualties so that's a win. I have yet to take my first planet but I took two of those station things (forgot to names) from the Empire so i'm at least starting to win for once so there's hope yet
