I'm just making posts in response because I've seen many items change for the worse because the creator believes in one person saying critique. He has to appeal to many people with these, not just us.
Just hold back a little on the "This wont be accepted" attitude, please
I have seen other equally embellished Warframe's not make it. If you look at the various tennogen items you will see there is a pattern to what will be accepted. Don't get me wrong this is an awesome looking skin but it has to fit in with the Warframe universe, you cannot just put anything in. DE have a certain criteria.
If you want an item to get in, it cannot borrow too heavily from other influences. If you look at the Mag and Trinity style visors, you will see that they are not really visors. Maybe this visor is OK but it looks to me too mechanical and less organic which is something I am sure the art team for Warframe will notice.
I like this creator and have bought his Planetside 2 items before but like Planetside 2 it has to conform to the artstyle of the game. The dev's I know are certain to look at it through their eyes and say 'Does this fit?.
I have addressed some of what you said in another comment, so I won't rehash it here. Personally, I don't really see how Trinity Prime's helmet is all that organic, especially her visor. Trinity seems to have a more "techy" theme overall than a lot of the other frames which is something I tried to incorporate here.
I don't want to seem dismissive, and I want you to know that I truly appreciate your candor in your critiques. And who knows, you could certainly be proven right in the end. I have gone to great lengths to make sure my detailing/line work matches the Warframe aesthetic, but DE obviously have the final say.
Also, I think its really cool you recognized me from my work on Planetside! I didn't think people knew who I was haha. Thanks for your support!
Well DE do post feedback and creators mention what the feedback is sometimes on the Warframe forums.
Vanu 4 lyfe!
But yeah I try and invoke constructive feedback. If I was to make a comparison between your Oberon skin and the deluxe skin by DE, the Feyarch, your one looks too much like a suit of armour [a problem I see with Rhino and Oberon]. The Feyarch may be a 'fantasy' looking skin but it looks like it IS the Warframe. A Warframe isn't really something that is worn, if you get my drift. This Trinity skin in my opinion is 'almost there', I think the helmet is the one that looks too much like a helmet instead of a head imo
,but they post and accept stuff that completely contradicts earlier submissions
Do you think the first tennogen skins would be accepted today? Of course not
As for it needing to change or stick to theme, I mean. Even if a skin went entirely against the frame's previous visual aesthetic, isn't changing the aesthetic the point of the exercise? Not that this frame is, Trinity's always been kind've techy, and i'd argue that her Trinity Prime helmet is definitely a visor. I don't think this necessarily goes against Warframe's overall aesthetic.
Also, I mean. IF we start dropping things from contention for looking too different I'm going to have a much harder time playing Fashionfram- Warframe. Yes.
