Because apes can't wear clothing, it's very difficult to survive heat waves or hot biomes. Maybe add "ape dusters" or have ape tribalwear provide hot and cold insulation.

Edit: Same thing for cold biomes. I get that apparel balances it with humans, but it also limits playability. I'm making some edits for personal use, but maybe there's a way you can add this.
