In just a few words.. options to fully control all Text Boxes editing while creating or using pre-designed "strings" with various gameplay elements or details.
This is certainly a QoL feature that goes far beyond the default Randomize principle used by Firaxis to generate Posters. As a result, we are simply handing the whole text formatting golden keys to anyone bored (or annoyed) by their semi-chaotic systems & putting order into inspirational structures assembled by Drop-Down lists of variable content -- customized with components of relative importance.
The basic concept idea went like this for about two weeks in my brainstorming gamble attempts; WHY can't i just put whatever i want.. wherever & however -- while still tracking my campaigns with all the juicy facts that flows through this many different missions or events??
If your wise answer should be "Just edit the damn stuff & Hit Confirm!" Yeah, i know.. but in the case of a true RE-Booth, there's a swift rational reason -- variety of multiple contexts with rapid access.
Soooooo.. quick clarification bullets of interest.
-- • For almost every type of Lines (A+B+Op.. text drop zones deployed by Flash/GFX code on a virtual framework destined to become a Poster) sollicited by Solo + Duo + Squad + many more conditions.. you now have a very specific Drop-Down list.
-- • Each of those lists contain 1) Firaxis strings & 2) Our own highly customized stuff & 3) Anything else like CatoHeresy's Quotes Mod!
-- • WHAT happens during that mission? Got some resources and/or rewards? Who showed up.. The LOST, a Chosen or Ruler? Where and When, precisely?
-- • Everything is somewhat pre-written for ya!
-- • Pick & choose.. fine-tune a bit more or less, as you wish.
We really like to believe we just saved you hours worth of extra typing & by the same token.. gave some cool output(s) similar to AAR (After-Action-Report) attempts in a visually appealing manner. You'll be the judge of that.
That's exactly what you get from the "Line Picker" feature.. we are also planning other gimmicks.
PS; I'll be extrapolating that device (specially how the "maximum of three-lines" Layouts can influence your limited edits) further with some comprehensive diagrams, later. In the meantime, the first snapshot in the Steam Preview row has some fairly good hints about its generic purpose.
.... soon!
