FAQ
Q : How do I teach my pawns magic?

A : First, you need a pawn that's either "Physically Adept" or "Magically Gifted." These pawns can then use an Arcane Script to learn what they're capable of. "Physically Adept" pawns can learn how to become a Gladiator, Bladedancer or Sniper, while "Magically Gifted" pawns can become a Fire, Ice, Arcane, or Lightning mage. They can also become Necromancers, Paladins, Summoners, or Druids. There are also some special basic spells that any mage can learn that are acquired from single use scrolls.

Q : Where do I get arcane scripts?

A : Raiding factions, doing quests, or trading with exotic goods traders can get you scripts. There's also a special faction of mages that you can trade with who are guranteed to trade you an arcane script.

Q : What's the difference between "Physically Adept" and "Magically Gifted?"

A : There are 2 major differences; Their playstyle, and their abilities. Physical pawns generally have weak, close range abilities that they can use rapidly. Magical pawns have powerful ranged attacks with much more limited usage. They can also learn different abilities than eachother, with Physical pawns being unable to do magic and Magical pawns being unable to become physical classes.

Q : Are there any benefits of magic if I can't afford to buy Scripts?

A : Of course! Even though your pawns lose the biggest benefit if they can't use spells, they still gain a lot of passive buffs if they're magicians. They have better movement speed, work speed, health, and a few more.

Q : Why can't any of my pawns use magic?

A : Check if your pawn has either the "Physically Adept" or the "Magically Gifted" trait. This is a relatively rare trait, so your pawns might just be incapable of magic.

Q : How do I recover mana (or stamina) faster?

A : Mana potions are your solution here! They're craftable shots of mana that not only recover some of your mana, they also provide some buffs to the drinker. Just make sure that any muggles (not wizards) don't drink it because it can kill them. Also, watch out for addiction. This much power can be extremely habit forming.

Just message me if you have any more questions and I'd love to help you out!

How do I get seeds of life? Trading only?
Torann  [developer] 12 Jan, 2018 @ 2:49pm
Seeds of Life can be created by the Druid class after learning the Regrow Limbs spell, and then using the ability. This is a stand-alone spell that can be purchased or won in a quest. Using the ability summons the seed, which is a necessary component to perform a surgery to regrow a limb. A druid that has learned the "regrow limbs" master spell is the only one that can successfully perform the surgery, and they must have 90% or more mana at the time of the surgery. Also note that the druid's medical skill is important to performing a successful surgery as well.

Thanks for making the FAQ LurchingRex0677

Yeah, I know very little of the brand new classes since I haven't used many of them yet.

Are Zombies able to work nonstop or do they need to rest, food, etc.?
Rex 14 Jan, 2018 @ 8:02pm
Zombies have no needs and work without food or sleep, but they can't perform high-skill jobs and lose their traits.

what require to craft mana potion? is it possible without electricity?
Rincewind 20 Jan, 2018 @ 8:19am
also how "Focus" in Mage skills works?
For example: Heal cost 15%
1 point in Focus reducing cost by 3%, so at 5 points Heal will cost nothing? or new cost will be (100%-5*3%)*15=0.85*15? aka 12.75% of mana?

Like the other perk of the same kind, focus reduce the cost like you say in your last line.
Rex 21 Jan, 2018 @ 11:13am
You require a drug lab to create mana potions, so you do need electricity. The 3% is not a static decrease, it's a dynamic one. You'd lose 3% of 15% each upgrade.

is it possible to improve non-class ability? for example paladin learned "summon minion" is there way to upgrade it? (by using same scroll for example)

also there a "bug" when mage getting xp before he ends his spell casting. Looks strange.
Rex 21 Jan, 2018 @ 9:28pm
No, there is no way to upgrade those abillities
And I don't know about that bug. Posting a log could help
Rincewind 21 Jan, 2018 @ 9:55pm
hm log? I try to explain better. Mage have few xp points to lvlup, he starting to cast long term ability and lvlup immediately, before cast is completed.
Torann  [developer] 22 Jan, 2018 @ 7:54am
That's not really a bug, it's just the order in which the game executes, once you begin casting it grants xp, removes mana, then starts the spell. If you were to interupt the spell, you'd still get the xp and lose mana without any spell effects. consider it a way to safely train a mage.
Umm... is the ??? Arcane script supposed to have a chance to remove the "Magically gifted" trait and do nothing else...? I have reloaded my game afterwards, and even checked the logs at the moment it happened, and nothing points to it being a error.
