Some questions, many suggestions, and offer of help
Questions
  1. Is this map oriented towards use in Invasion?
  2. Do you intend to map out the interiors of buildings?

Suggestions
  1. The font of the callouts needs to be changed from red to something more mute. I think the purpose of the callout is to provide the information if required, not to provide at all times.
  2. The colour of buildings is a bit weird, because the stripy lines would suggest that those are the buildings that can’t be entered. The map should differentiate between buildings with interiors (a flat colour) and those without (same flat colour but with stripes).
  3. I think it’s worth adding a thin red line to indicate the border of the Out of Bounds zones.
  4. I think the use of map aesthetic should be utilised. For example, Sicily’s overview has its own colour scheme and I think that should be used/enhanced in the new overview.
  5. The lines used for buildings are too thick: particularly on Ortana and Dunkirk.
  6. The overall aesthetic/UI requires a reworking to be more legible, contain more information and also retain the flavour of the original overviews.
  7. There needs to be some way of indicating map borders that aren’t made by building walls. I like what the original Foy has – a thick but transparent red line.
  8. Look at these overview mods for Insurgency for some ideas https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=862347951 https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=858699923
  9. Shading used for objective zones, maybe?
  10. Transparent overlays for over/under regions.
  11. Insets for objective zones, maybe? Seems a bit messy.
  12. This guide has in game birds eye views, which can make it much easier to map interiors and other obstructions/cover. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=840049680

I’m very willing to help you in any way that I can for this project. I don’t know how github works – but I am capable of making the maps from scratch and I can share/discuss here. My preferred program is Inkscape, and as a vector editor I think it’s better suited than GIMP for this sort of thing.
