need help getting started
I can tell almost immediately that they way you play this map will be different from most but I don't know how to start/get a foothold/progress, if anyone who's played a lot of this map could help that'd be great, i'm set up in a shack next to the river north of the city with the governor NPC. i have a bed, an axe, a campfire, and some storage, i'm also going solo which with the zombies buffed HP will be tricky, so any tips would be great

collect every dollar bill you can find, the governer sells water and food, not to mention some weapons, along with ranger, mili, and civilian crates.

You'll have to exercise extra caution, I'm sure you've noticed zombies are much stronger on this map, and attracting more than two or three to you can spell death.

Cars are kinda doodoo on this map with the twisty turny roads, so try to acquire a boat or a helicopter. Airplanes are next to useless as you will have nowhere to land besides the airport unless you find an Otter.

The main lore is derived from this shortened version of a famous tale from the Ural Mountains:

A young factory worker named Stephan meets a woman in unusual clothing. He realizes that the woman is the legendary Mistress of the Copper Mountain. She orders Stepan to tell his bailiff, the "stinking goat", to get out of the mines of these mountains. Stephan does as he is told and pays the price: he is flogged and sent to a mine face.

He is then saved by the Mistress herself. She brings Stepan to her domain, shows him her riches and proposes marriage. Stepan honestly replies that he has already promised to marry another girl, Nastyona. The Mistress is delighted by his reply and reveals that her proposal was a test of Stephan's honesty and integrity. She presents a malachite casket filled with jewelry for Nastyona and lets Stephan go, making a final request that Stephan forgets about her.

However, Stephan finds that cannot forget her. He marries Nastyona and lives with her for many years, but he is unhappy. One day he takes the malachite casket and goes away and doesn't come back. His body is later found lying in the snow, by a rock. The tale concludes with the words: "It's a chancy thing to meet her [The Mistress], it brings woe for a bad man, and for a good one there's little joy comes of it".

Stepahn. a pawn of the evil men. awoke a goddess. In turning her love down, he started the apocalypse, for no man says "no", to the energy of the mountains.
