Report a translation problem
1: Did you add "Override materials" before going to the Element viewer?
2: When you added the "String", Did you type "$Iris"? (Common problem here is that you type "$basetexture" or forget the "$"
3: Did you use the correct pathway?

Can you describe the process from start to the end how you do it?
How do you write the partway to the file?
sounds like you got something wrong there.
So you type in the following...
"models\n92\eyes\(texture name)"?
or something else?
Do you use "$iris" or "$basetexture" for the string?
Also, which model do you try to do this on?
Then I'm sadly not available to help you here.
So the last thing I will ask is the following.
How do you do "EXACTLY" do when you try to apply the skin?
So from the moment you load SFM and then load the model.
From there, what do you do step by step?
Put in the string $iris
Put the file path and name
And then done
