In my game atleast, sprinting over the ammo packs do not pick them up, and just consumes them

I haven't found any issues directly related to sprinting, it could possibly be the weapon or some movement addon.

when they respawn you can hear them all the way on the other side of the map

The Sound is not tied to the entity's position, and instead is played directly to the player, unlike TF2, where its sound is muffled the further you are away.
I don't like hearing the refill when I am nowhere near the pickup.

Yeah, I've had this issue as well, dunno why. I'm also having an issue with the spawns doing down to floors below, and I'm getting issues with the health pickups. Something about comparing numbers to nil I think.

Not sure what happens with the spawns going to the next floor, did fix the nil number errors and not picking up ammo with different weapon or movement addons.
