Add the ability to not block drop pods? Like that other shield mod i used in alpha 17 kinda annoying to have to turn off your shield array to lose a 20000 silver trade because you forgot to turn them off

Some way for your pawns to factor in the shield exists so they move around/inside it while shooting, especially hunting.

Dont know if implemented already or not but have the shields block tornadoes.

On the subject of shields blocking things - meteorites? (At least unlike the other two they're skyfallers, right? :D) Noticed somebody on the RW discussion page asking about a shield that could block meteorites and I thought of this, although it doesn't say whether it will or not.
What Azrail said; If not implemented, for the love of god, can we have shields block Tornado's as well? Or if you feel that is OP, can we get a special extra shield type requiring one more technology that will block Tornado's? Those things are the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bane of every persons game.

@ Jamaican Castle, shields already block meteorites; It's specifically listed in the Mods Settings.

aef8234 has the same thought as I do, make the pawns more aware that a barrier is there so if an animal or something is inside, they don't stupidly stand outside the barrier with their miniguns and kill themselves with their own guns while trying to kill an animal. also, something to Blend the barriers together if they're in range kinda like a fusing bubble, so that it's possible to build them near each other and can shoot from a distance as long as your inside the bullets will pass through the connected barriers without rebounding back, would be great for defending a wider area by connecting barriers together.

an an ed-shield SIF SHield like shield bould be nice, as i like that its ust proected to the stuff which realy needs it.

I kind of agree with Mania's suggestion. It's actually annoying if you use these in a firebase and layer them on top of each other, then have your heavier turrets try to shoot someone through a shield the turret isn't under, so it blocks their fire. It'd be nice if pawns/structures under one shield could have their weapons fire travel through intersecting shields, but that's a small issue.

It wouldn't be in the spirit of this mod but it would be a good idea for another mod. I'll check out doing that too

A Massive Shield, One that can cover a very VERY large area and has an extremely high power draw also maybe a way for the shields to turn themselfs on when an event happens
A square shield, not rounded so they can be built without overlap, and/or a shield that can be sort of custom made to connect between pylons or something that fill in the middle of them, kinda like make 4 in each corner of a room then resulting in a shield only for the inside, not outside
