Valve added NetProps for VScripts, which Mutations use. It allows us to be able to access more functions. Like enabling noclip and changing the ammo in a gun's clip, etc. More control means even funner Mutations. :)
I had one more quick question for you, Rayman, if you have an answer. Do you have any knowledge regarding the status of east coast US servers for L4D1? I'm fairly certain there were some in recent years, since I played on them, but I haven't been able to find a single one in the past few months. I've checked the server browser and it has dozens of empty servers for the west coast, Australia, Dubai, Spain, etc. but none for the East coast. Every server I quick match into is noticably laggy and is always a southwest or west server. L4D2 by comparison has plenty of East coast US servers.
I understand you have limited professional contact with Valve, but have you heard anything regarding the situation for those servers, or is there any way you could find out about it? I understand if they've moved them all to CS:GO or another game, but it puzzles me why they have them for every other part of the world. I posted this on the SPUF thread regarding exploits a few weeks back, but I understand if you haven't checked back there.
