Left 4 Dead 2

Diescraper Redux
Kyle's Review of "Diescraper" - 4/5
Rock solid campaign with minor issues. 4/5 stars.

Diescraper is an older campaign that has largely stood the test of time. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but that's honestly a point in its favor. The visuals are excellent and as detailed as anything Valve has made, and the level design has a very consistent flow that plays to Left 4 Dead's strengths. Hordes are more frequent than vanilla, but the difficulty is still balanced and manageable. If you want a campaign that doesn't FEEL like a custom campaign, this is an excellent choice.

Most of my complaints are minor nitpicks that barely matter, with one exception: the titular "diescraper" has a very repetitive interior. Map 3 is my least favorite because it has lots of hallways and stairwells that all kinda look the same, which stinks because it was the level I was looking forward to the most.

Still, if you just want more Left 4 Dead without too much worrying about gimmicks or getting lost, you can't go wrong with Diescraper. Try it!
