Diescraper Redux is a high-quality Custom Map that has a lot to like. It has a lot of tight interiors, stairs, and vertical elements. However, this doesn’t detract from the gameplay, and gives it a unique feel overall.

There are a lot of Moderate Gauntlet events on this map, which add to its difficulty overall. Witches are also notably a significant problem on this map, as the tight hallways and stairways will result in her often being nigh-unavoidable. Tanks were not much of an issue, except on the Finale, which was a Defend-Tank-Defend-Tank.

The Finale is fairly difficult as it’s set in the cramped upper floors of an office building, where there’s not a lot of space to maneuver (though fortunately also no real dead ends). There are walls that break, some open windows, and catwalks that allow Commons to rain down on you in several areas, meaning that the tight central staircases are likely among the best spots to hold on this Finale.

However, these tight staircases can also be dangerous when the Tanks spawn, as they can path around the corners extremely quickly and run in. Fortunately the staircases have multiple exits, meaning that you’re not likely to be cornered by the Tank in them; unless of course a Charger or something shows up on the other side, as multiple Specials continue to spawn during the Tanks.

It’s also worth noting that there’s no ammo piles on the Finale, only two unique 2-use ammo containers (though there are still infinite-ammo Tier 2 weapons you can pick up). Also, beware the sporadic ‘strong wind’ effect on the helicopter pad on this Finale, as it can blow you to the left, towards an exposed ledge.

This map also notably has guaranteed Laser Sight spawns after the mall’s generator Moderate Gauntlet section and at the Finale itself.
