That sounds like an issue that was not present during my time playing/modding these vehicles.
This is also the first time I have heard of this issue as well.
You may want to do a reinstallation of this mod.
This is completely normal.
This effect is called "Understeer". Understeer is when your front tires get pushed and you are unable to turn properly.
Oversteer is when the rear gets loose/turns the vehicle with the rear-end
The best way to counter this, other than slowing down for corners, is to stiffen the front right suspension/more psi in the front right tire.
I am not an Oval racer but it sounds to me like the issue is your personal driving style.
These setups are only to make the AI more challenging since they always use the track default setup.

The sound was the best I could do..unfortunately this sound mod will be permanent.
I have moved my efforts to Automobilista, and have deleted RF2 from my computer.
