Or stick 'er in a religious party for sick camping synergy. Something like Vestal-Seraph_(Intervention, Vengeance, Cauterise, Brand)-Crusader-Crusader.
1- those who are religious are the Crusader / Leper / Vestal / Seraph and none of them add damage to marked enemies except Seraph which kind of has low damage.
Even with the buff "Mark Enemy = +100% damage", it pretty much results a normal Leper attack.
The "camping religious synergy" might be good enough (maybe), but in the battlefield, there's not enough "Mark synergy" to use her Mark abilities.
2- in a "Mark synergy" party, well, heroes are not religious and may get punished while camping. So the camping skills of Seraph are harmful in a "Mark synergy". If Seraph cannot use her camping skills to improve, her stats and abilities stand kind of low (again).
3- Her low stats do not seem to worth her abilities / AoE ...
4- if there were more religious heroes, she will probably have much more potential.
Only 4 different religious heroes is not enough to have varied religious teams...
There do not seem to have enough values in non religious / Mark synergy teams...
And a half religious and half not religious seems too unstable to me (I think).
Maybe the author wants to create more religious heroes later on,
which could be fun and interesting! I'm not bashing the work done.
I am sure she can be useful somewhere, somehow, but I just cannot see it.
I really like Marvin Seo's mods, and I do want to play with the Seraph!
But I fear she might be more of an obstacle rather than an useful ally...
she indeed love to attack marked ennemy, but her ally love it too, and by taking the mark off, she kinda counter them :-/
plus actually, a religious team seem quite not realy viable, if you count the seraph, there are 5 religious characters the crusader, the leper, the flagellant, the seraph and the vestal.
the problem => 4 of them are mostly played in rank 1/2
i think the leper, the crusader and the flagellant must be played in rank 1-2 (the flagellant have 4 support abilities that can be played on any rank, but i don't think a support flagellant would be good)
the seraph seem to be playable in rank 3 (but she would preferthe rank 1-2 of course)
only the vestal is realy good in rank 3-4
so a religious team, it's mostly 4 melee fighters who want the 2 first ranks and at least one of them who will be forced to join the back line, even if it mean a lac of strength ... (and a vestal who's happy in the back ^^)
You could use Warrior of The Sun, since he is religious and can do something in rank 3.
I use her with a baunty hunter, vestal and thrall. Since the bounty hunter almost always goes first in your party he can always place a mark that is also very helpful against enemies with high prot. After that I use the seraphs melee mark consuming attack or the ranged one depending on which rank I have marked with the bounty hunter. If the target is not dead I finish it off with the vestals ranged attack. The thrall mostly just headbuts or earthquakes whatever he can as to minimise enemy front (or back line) damage output. If the rare situation occures in which the bounty hunter gets stunned or goes after the seraph I either use her own mark placing ability or I just make her guard an ally. 80% when I put a mark with the bounty hunter on something the seraph will then one-shot it (the other 15% she deals half of their hp and the 5% are missed/dodged). Honestly I have found her very useful against monsters in the cove, warrens and ruins. As items on her I run the brigand vvulf's treasure, a basic damage item (like a sun ring) and a health item (martyr's seal).
As for the Seraph's uses, having other heroes who can mark or use marks is good since she can mark targets for them, but even if you only take an occultist you can have other heroes attack them while she stuns, protects, etc., then have her attack a marked enemy to finish them off since it does so much damage.
It makes the Seraph less useful in boss fights, but even then you could have her take Vengeance since it has great crit chance and can do a ton of damage to marked enemies, resulting in massive crits. If that doesn't finish them off it also activates a Riposte with no downsides, which is great since most bosses have attacks that hit multiple characters, if not the entire team.
