A charming little campaign with issues. 3/5 stars.

Wan Li is definitely a campaign focused more on novelty than pure quality, but it's still got it where it counts. This campaign nails its atmosphere, with both major locations feeling like real places very different from standard Left 4 Dead environments. There are lots of small details to appreciate, like Chinese symbols on military vehicles.

Gameplay-wise, Wan Li tries a lot of experimental mechanics, and although they WORK in a basic sense, the jank is hard to ignore. Grabbing parachutes in Map 1 is a cool idea, but one of them is so annoyingly well hidden that this would be a 2 star review if a funny message didn't pop up to highlight my missing parachute after a few minutes. Map 2 is good, but it's too open and directionless with a serious lack of health items. The finale is a fun idea, but it's marred by ice physics and triggers that don't always work.

Wan Li is worth a run, but I recommend Easy to balance out the jank.
