Frequently Asked Questions
So what is this?
It's simply an empty table that you can use as a template for your own game setups. However, as TTS does not natively support custom tables, there are a few caveats with loading it on existing games or using the pure mode.

How do I bring existing games onto the Kraken?
There's a few methods, depending on type of content you wish to import, some may be more convenient than others:

  1. Saved: Load the game you want to import, then drag-select all the assets. Right click any of them to bring the context menu, and click the 'Save Object' option. Load the table you wish to bring the items to, then click the 'Objects' button on the top tray, and select 'Saved Objects' from the menu. Now you can click on your saved items or drag and drop them onto the table.
    Example[giant.gfycat.com]

  2. Persistent: Load the game you want to import, then drag-select all the assets. Right click any of them to bring the context menu, navigate to 'Toggles' and enable 'Persistent'. With this toggle, the items flagged as persistent will remain in place despite loading a different game, so just open the workshop table and it will retain the items you selected.
    Example[giant.gfycat.com]

  3. Expand Workshop: Start from the loaded workshop table, then click on 'Games' from the top tray, find the workshop file you wish to import from, hover it and an 'Options' icon with three dots will appear on the top right of the thumbnail. Click on it and select 'Expand' to browse the contents inside that workshop mod, from there you can click to spawn or drag and drop onto the table.
    Example[giant.gfycat.com]

  4. Additive Load: Start from the loaded workshop table, then click on 'Games' from the top tray, find the workshop file you wish to import from, hover it and an 'Options' icon with three dots will appear on the top right of the thumbnail. Click on it and select 'Additive Load' to bring all objects related to that workshop file.
    Example[giant.gfycat.com]
:y_star: TIP: Holding the Alt key while drag selecting will also select locked objects.

Bear in mind that existing scripted games are significantly more difficult to port, please only attempt to do so if you have an understanding of the modding fundamentals for Tabletop Simulator.

What are the dimensions of the Kraken?
The dimensions of the large custom table in TTS units are: 109 x 75 (counting the wooden frame, as it's flat). The Kraken's board / dipped in area is 96 x 48 (2 : 1) and 122 x 62 counting the borders. Adding up the extensions it sums up to 164 x 98. If you got things to fit on the large custom table, then chances are you'll fit everything on the Kraken. Here is the worst graphic ever with both tables overlapped for comparison:

How can I edit the table?
Besides the options listed in the workshop's description, modifying the table is ill advised. It was modeled and scripted in a specific way to tie everything together. If you wish for a more configurable space, then I highly recommend MrStump's Flex Table. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1169112551

2:1 so I use 1920x960. Fits perfectly
