This better be a primary.
Make it a good mid-range alternative to the shotgun. No differences in damage/range ratio, a constant fifty damage per hit. Engineers could use this in a pinch whilst defending a building, as in many circumstances an Engineer nest falls when the owner's primary can't defend from afar.

That wouldnt fit in with a bunch of shotguns, wouldnt make sense considering his secondary is a pistol and would be op to have a flat 50 damage outside of shotguns range. Bad idea

Maybe it would have to completely remove use of a secondary. It could also have a "♥♥♥♥" capability, right-clicking before each fire. That could force a consistent but slower DPS that could be equal to a shotgun in reliability.

In any case, I'd still use my shotgun.

Its not a primary, its a pistol
it uses pistol animations (FOR FIRING)
it uses the pistol slot
it probably uses the same ammunition ammount
and did I mention its a pistol?

maybe it could be a pistol that did more damage but with slower firing rate then the default pistol as it doesn't have much option in that slot

Don't forget -50% clip size, as the revolver only has 6 slots.
