bind doesn't even work
I put in show_menu and show_menu menu and everytime it says
bind <key> [command] : attach a command to a key

Are you sure you wrote it well? The correct command to open the menu from the console is this:

bind v "show_menu menu"

That in my case I use the V key to open the menu, but you can choose another letter that seems more comfortable to you. What if or if you put quotes around the command "show_menu menu" to make it work.

It's this: bind "x" "bind_menu menu"
