If you make an enclosure around a spawn point you may be able to capture animals, but it would still rely on the natural spawn rates. I do not think it is currently possible to spawn animals ingame. (This farm would still capture cows, deer, and other animals)

This is new information: @animal (animal id) will spawn an animal in front of you. This would work for a farm very well.
