Hey, (spoiler) That witch Carli dies, but I just do not understand her death. I feel dense...but yeah. I do not understand that weird magic presence in that mission in the undersea prison.

just finished that mission and im not sure either. the loud keening noise makes me think the dragon was involved somehow.

the elf adept wasn't just a follower of Hestaby, he was also a loci of her power, and that's how she was able to interfer in the room, going so far as to cause a mana overload on Carli, when the later tried to harm her "chosen"
