1. There are several different variations for the ending, but nothing like Dragonfall's "Dark Side" ending. Even if you want to side with the Protectorate, they won't want to side with you.
2. Lots of decisions have effects on the gameplay by unlocking new abilities, weapons, items, adding allies or removing obstacles, etc. However no decisions will unlock additional crew members or add entirely new missions.
3. If you side with the Renraku faction you immediately receive a bigger payout in nuyen, but don't receive any gear. There's no mechanical benefit to rejecting both, but doing so is a significant roleplaying decision.
4. Yes, each team member will receive one of two unique unlockable abilities based on how you have influenced them during the game.
6. Releasing the chemicals adds environmental obstacles that deal damage to anyone moving through the corridor. This tends to be helpful if your team is primarily ranged, and harmful if you're primarily melee.
8. Yep, that's correct, there's no extra companion for the final mission like there was in The Caldecott Caper.
Cheers!
