My humble opinion.
MAN. IT'S ONE OF THE BEST GAMES IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. You gotta belive me, I have TONS of expirience ;)

So, here's my perspective!

Limited and forced background;

No actual shadowrunning 😆 It’s kinda disappointing, considering that the whole point of this universe is running the shadows by doing different missions;

Your choices in dialogues in some cases don’t matter at all. Usually, you have 3 choices (I’d say “Neutral”, “Goody” and “Kinda bad/violent/whathaveyou”) and, as in typical RPG, you expect NPC to give various responses depending on your pick, but most of the time it’s more of a placeholder than a REAL choice, which is kinda disappointing, because in the main game, for example, 98% of your choices actually reap various responses from characters…Sometimes it’s even more frustrating cuz of the sheer awesomeness of the choice itself. You’re like “Wow, it’s hilarious, I wonder what their reaction would be!” and…nothing.

Neutral:

Kinda wish this game’d bring forth different themes and problems rather than “Bad Saito, poor metahumans, go rebels!”. Idk, I LOVE that in the original trilogy each game is unique story-vise, with different plots, characters, etc, and I feel like your games are a bit stagnant in that regard. But maybe I just don’t feel the whole “I am a fighter against the big baddie”…;

I think the loyalty system was better in the CC. It’s a bummer that you can’t be bad to them and/or ruin your relationship with them;

Nice thing you did with the soundtrack;

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AMAZING ROMANCE. God, it’s literally a masterpiece. If the romantic aspect of the second game was pretty solid, then in this game it just…No words. Through romance the whole game perceives through a different set of lenses, begging to feel more like an amazing love story. Just. Just. Just try it, y’all!!!;

l love how you’re playing with companions’ roles: melee decker, a guy who literally cannot kill, fireball spewing killing machine, melee mage and the others (I refer to different games, not exclusively to this one, ofc, but, because it is relevant to CallFree in Chains, too, I decided to add it as a plus). Very imaginative and refreshing! And, more importantly, every one of them is super useful in the battle of you know what you’re doing ;)

CHARACTERs’ writing is SUPERB. They feel so alive and believable. You just feel connected to them more and more as your playthrough advances…They grow and evolve in different ways, just like your character and you, as a player…I dunno how to describe it properly, you must live through it and feel it yourself. I thought that writing was mega cool in CC, but THIS is totally a new level of mastery! Well done, my friend!;

Much more interesting missions, both main and side! If in the CC you mainly fought your way through levels, in this game each mission is unique and exciting, in some cases you can even talk your way through the entire mission! And, you get much more interactions with the outside world (NPCs, info, etc). Clearly an improvement here;

As in the previous game, your ACTIONS still matter and significantly affect your gameplay.

......But if there’s one thing that I will NEVER forgive you, Cirion, is the deaths of Desorn and Valiri. Yeah, yeah, all this talk about how IMPORTANT that is for the plot or some other ♥♥♥♥, but I WAS AND STILL IS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DEVASTATED. ♥♥♥♥. :steamsad: AND, I HATE ENDINGS WHERE YOU NEED TO SACRIFICE SOMEONE!!! HOW TF A SINGLE BEING CAN DECIDE WHICH ONE GETS TO LIVE AND WHICH ONE TO DIE??? ♥♥♥♥. I AM A SIMPLE HUMAN I DON'T WANNA MAKE THESE HEARTBREAKING CHOICES(((
