didn't even open up the thread and I was thinking that.

this could be samurai based, since it's honorbound and samurai had honor and were one with sword maybe if you lose a fight you lose hp

backstabs from any angle, including face (yay, facestab)
can only stab when not disguised
missing a stab causes you to stab yourself and die
back/facestab kill fills health and when full it overheals

+On Backstab: Spy gains %100 fire resistance for 5 sec (Doesn't stack)
+On Backstab: Unlimited cloak for 5 sec
-Honorbound (More like when you draw the knife, you can't sheathe it. If you try to do so, Spy drops the knife to the ground and can't pick it up.)

This knife could be more useful when backstabbing an priority targets and staying alive.

I think it would change up Spy as it means he can be more agressive, but still has to use stealth and cloak because of the health penalty

Revised version:
+100% or so damage (so a one-hit kill on any non-overhealed target, regardless of whether it is a backstab or not)
On backstab: Keep Disguise
-25 health on user
Honourbound
+40% melee damage taken

So, while you can be more aggressive, you have to do more hit-and-run style kills as the extra melee damage means you can usually only attack single targets.

Well, since the name is 'honourable', I'm thinking:

+ Instant kills anybody that is facing you with a melee weapon drawn (kinda like half zatoichi).
+ +100% Damage.
+ Speed boost on kill.
+ Overheal on kill.
+ 50 Health.

- No backstabs (because that is inherently dishonourable)
- Honourbound (for obvoius reasons).

Not sure about no backstabs or +50 health, but otherwise that sounds quite good. Maybe:

+ Can get random crits
+100% damage
+ 100% crits against enemies with melee equipped
+ Always crits against players with The Half-Zatoichi or this weapon
+ On kill: Restored to full health
- Honourbound
- 20% ranged damage vunerability when equipped
- Cannot use while disguised

+Wearer can stab whilst inv
+Wearer is immune to afterburn and mad milk

Cons
-Honourbound
-10 health
-When subjected to jarate you are completely uncloaked/undisguised, this includes shots from the sydney sleeper

My alternative idea is based on the knife adopting the look of a katana,(a weapon stereotypically used by ninjas) so I though it would be quite cool, for spies to be able to run as fast as a ninja and be completely invisible AND silent, LIKE a ninja. :)

Pros
+Able to run scout speed(when undisguised or disguised as a scout or cloaked)
+When cloaked you cannot be revealed example:afterburn, bullets, mad milk or jarate
+Footsteps are completely silent

Cons
-Honourbound
+20% more damage from fire
-10 health

Pros:
On backstab gain cloak energy and disguise
Taunt kill avalible
cannot be hit with mad milk while cloaked
Silent backstab

Cons:
10- Health
Lose more health on hit when hit by jar of pee/jarate
Revolver is only usefull when healed by a medic (Including cloak)
unhealable for 1 second when switching weapons
