Mixu's Tabletop Lords
Sub Mod or Addition Request: Unique Red Line skills.
I'm sorry this is so long. So please bear with me on it?

But this is something I've been thinking about for a while.

I wanted to ask you Mixu, if you could make a sub mod, or possibly just add some new additions to your lord mods (this one in particular), that reworks some of the red line skills for the various lord types so that their buffs can help them feel even more unique.

Now, after doing some thinking about it, I wouldn't want to ask that you completely overhaul every red line skill tree and make them unique to that lord type, such as your Savage Orc Great Shaman and Warboss.

That would be awesome if you went so above and beyond in such a manner, but I don't want you to have to end up completely overhauling your mod.

Instead, I'd like to ask if you could simply rework those kinda dumb veteran skills into ones that are unique for that type of lord, such as your Savage Orc Warboss and Great Shaman, which are both savage orcs.


But what I'd like to ask you to do is to make those four skills unique to each lord type and have them buff their entire army rather than just specific units and based on the level of the unit.

And I think that other than naming the skills and or replacing the veteran skills, I think that there's a fairly easy way to go about making the unique skills.

Just use the basic effects that grant stats and things like melee attack and melee defense and so on. And assign them accordingly to the skill based on which lord type it's for.

Like giving the Savage Orc Warboss and Great Shaman's skills that focus on making their troops more aggressive and harder hitting.

That way the lord types are could have a more thematic feeling to them without making them have to buff only certain kinds of troops.


I'd like to go into more detail, but I think I'll stop this from being too much longer and talk about that stuff in following comments.

I'll just give an example of what I'm talking about. And I'll use the Savage Orc Warboss and Savage Orc Great Shaman as the examples.

I think that you could make the specific red line skills for them give all units in their army more aggressive buffs, like giving them buffs to their charge bonus and weapon damage that are greater than what you might get from a basic Orc Warboss.

The skills could grant some bonuses of stuff like, +15-20 Charge Bonus, +10 MA, +15% Weapon Damage, and maybe one that grants Frenzy to all units in his army on top of those.

That way, you'd be able to give them a different playstyle that isn't focused solely on only having specific units.
