How to Report a Bug

You are NOT experiencing a bug if:
- The game kicks you back to main menu when you try to start/load a game. This is caused by another one of your mods that is having an error updating the database. This mod only adds some settings to the database and should not cause any issues.


You are experiencing a bug if:
- You've tried the "Troubleshooting" discussion and still don't see a button to automate Builders or Archaeologists.
- You press the automate/stop automation button and nothing happens (the action doesn't switch to the opposite from what you just pressed, i.e. automate --> stop automation)
- The game is making you select an action for a Builder/Archaeologist that is currently automated.
- An automated Builder is sitting around doing nothing, but there is clearly something to do anywhere in your borders AND you have checked the action scores in the mod settings.
- Automated Builders are trying to target a plot that is not in your territory.
- Anything else that is different from what I have described should be happening.


Please follow these steps to report a bug:
- If you aren't able to go through some of the work below, please at least let me know and provide some screenshots if possible and info about your game. Thanks!


1. Once you get to where the bug occurs, stop and take any screenshots if it will help others understand the issue you had.
2. Close the game. This is so that the log files are saved and the last bit of information will be from when you saw the bug.
- Go to C:\Users\<User Name>\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Logs\ (the file path is different on Mac, I think it is /Library/Application Support/Sid Meier's Civilization VI/Logs/)
3. Open the Lua.log with any text editor (Notepad or Wordpad on Windows). Copy all of the contents to clipboard.
4. Go to www.pastebin.com, and paste the Lua.log contents you copied into the "New Paste" box. Make sure the exposure is "Public" then click "Create New Paste".
- Now that you've created the paste, you can copy the url that was generated for it and share that link for anyone to view.
5. Make a post describing the bug you found. Please also describe your game setup (Which leader? Single/Multi player? Standard ruleset? Number of players?) and your PC setup (Windows? Mac?)
6. Make sure to include in your post any relevant mods you were using that include resources or improvements.
7. As a final part of the bug report, add the pastebin url you made for the Lua.log contents. Don't paste the Lua.log contents directly into your discussion post.
8. If you have a screenshot post that as well.

Please remember that it is VERY difficult for me to fix bugs that I haven't been able to produce on my own computer without the Lua.log contents from your game! Posting them is very helpful to me!

Okay, thank you for letting me know but I can't do anything without more info because as you can see from the mod images, it shows up on my computer and I haven't been able to re-produce your issue. I need more information about the game settings that you used, and I need the Lua.log for your game in order to fix this. Please see the above instructions for how to post them here for me, its very easy :) Thanks!

Hello MadManCam, I have done what you have asked. Here is the link to pastebin: https://pastebin.com/Y4ZU1bS7 . Issue is that the unit panel does not show up when I select the unit. I can move it though. Can you please suggest if it is possible to fix this? regards!

Awesome! The issue is being caused by this function: unit:GetReligiousHealCharges()

I don't think there were religious heal charges before the fall patch, so I'm guessing you are running on Mac or something without the fall patch?

Thanks a lot for posting the log, might have never found the issue otherwise. Working on an update.

Attempted to fix an incompatibility with games without the Fall 2017 patch (Mac/Linux users). I don't actually have a Mac to test with but it should work now, can you let me know? Thanks.

Yes you are right, I am running on a mac. Didnt know that we still havent got the fall patch though...( I will check it later today and let you know. Thanks for hard work!

No problem, I'd like to get it working for everyone's games! Just made another update now to try to make it compatible. Again, I don't have a Mac so let me know if it works or not.

Builders don't try to clear contamination from nuked sites, they just try to fix broken hexes and die prematurely :(

Yea clearing contamination kind of sucks in Civ 6 since the Builders just die so quickly anyways. In the future I will be trying to write a custom pathing function so that automated units don't walk through contaminated areas.

I just got some new thing yhat lets me pick mod options whenever a worker is selected. i like having the options but is slows my pc to the point of not responding while the worker figures out what to do. if i dont automate, it does not happen. r&f dx11&12 win10 6600k 1080ti

Yes, I just added in game settings in the last update. This mod shouldn't make your game noticeably any more laggy. Could you be more specific about your issue? Is your game lagging/freezing after pressing the automate button, or is it just lagging more all the time? Or are turn times taking longer?
When I restart my game and load a save I the panel to automate goes away,

I'm guessing you're using the Resourceful 2 mod. Anyways, just follow these steps in the Troubleshooting discussion before loading your save game again:
