yeah it doesnt look like its terribly sharp, but it would be capable of slicing things in half simply because it was so heavy. There is an anime called berserk where the protagonist uses an enormous great sword that isnt even that sharp, but its capable of slashing through heavy armor like a knife through butter, as well as deflecting giant 2-ton flails.

Well anime isn't exactly a reliable source of information for edged weapons, but that does sound really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sick
Considering it's of corpus design, probably lasers

It has lasers in the front that are capable of slicing into a foe similar to how the Broken War is capable of doing more Slash than it's larger, completed cousin, which is basically a huge metal bat on a stick.
Still...I think it'd work, since it's a great design either way.

Probably the lasers on the side, think of it as a fat lightsaber

see those slightly transparent energybeams that turn invisible futher up. thats probably how it cuts. i mean come on! asif the corpus are going to use something as barbaric as a metal blade to cut things!

you all forgot 1 thing. WAR the club blade which has almost no slash but tons of impact. so nothing wrong here

it'd be kind of against the entirety of corpus designs to have those thin lasers accompanied by a massive hunk of greatsword that wouldnt serve any purpose, since lasers dont need weight to cut.

He was just saying it could be a skin primarily FOR war.

That's not possible. It has to be for a weapon type, not an exact weapon. Also, Shinmyoumaru said the exact same thing as he did, but more

I think the weapon fits in the game anyways because when you hit enemies, they split in peices from the sheer force of the hit.

To be fair, most large blade weapons irl like claymores or great axes weren't necessarily meant to be sharp anyway
Not that they wouldn't go clean thru armour or a person if swung with sufficient force

This. Most large blades weren't sharp and did their cutting through sheer weight and force. Only real sharp part was the tip, which was meant for stabbing. A lot of medieval fighting with larger blades was done by grabbing the sides of the sword, that's why they weren't sharp.
The lasers, are the edge...
