Road Map of Funicular Network: What comes next
I've been thinkering with Funicular tracks since the initial release. While the current set of funicular tracks are working fine, there's always a room to improve certain aspect of the network.

1. Steeper tracks (Came with update 2.0)

First improvement will be on track mechanics. Current tracks have dynamic incline, meaning there's always a bending between station - track and nodes. These tracks are useful for making funicular networks like one in Schwyz and Neuchatel, where incline is not constant.

Thus, I will release a second set of tracks with constant incline between stations, that will allow a realistic looking for "incline plane" Funiculars that are available in US and mainly other parts of the world, where funiculars carry less passengers and function a sort of "rail elevator".

2. End stations for flat terrain

Following the release of constant inclines, end stations will be released. These stations will have larger footprint and will be used as points where funiculars are changing tracks, as they can not change on inclined stops that were previously released. First end stations will be used on flat terrain.

3. End stations for Inclined terrain and hilltops (Released)

Second series of end stations will allow that constant incline change (meaning network start directly with an incline. Thus a re-modeling is necessary to create a cutout on the roof of the station for one, and model the concrete base of the station on elevated one. Since they will also act as switch stations, I am visually planning to model them as maintenance stations.

4. Pittsburgh Incline

Modeling and release of vehicle set of Pittsburgh funicular. I'm not planning to make stations, as they can't be made shorter than 6u long for station track, due to the ingame difficulties.

5. Funicular Yard Tracks

These tracks wont have any custom mesh, but only contain rack rails with concrete payment. They will serve as decorative network, for those who wants to create a small funicular yard.
