Custom Save Files
Just a thread for storing any custom Immersive Taming settings, so that they can be shared with other players or clusters.

Also a place to share any particular setups for any custom food chains or kibble trees, or any particular mod setups.

Downloaded saves should be placed in the folder below.

Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\SaveGames

The filename is "ImmersiveTamingSettings.sav"

Just be sure to make a backup if you want to keep any old setups you've created.

Custom Dino Preferences enabled with every tameable creature from The Island, Scorched Earth, Aberration and Ragnarok included in the Dino List. Baits, taming methods and values are set to mirror the mod's default settings.

Edit - Link removed as it's now outdated.

Still DL-ing fine on my end. You shouldn't really need it any longer though, as the last update has all dinos automatically added to the Dino List.

Just wanted to offer my version;
- No combat requred tames
- Rex, Allo, and stuff like that require Prime/Prime Fish, Mutton or Kibble baits
- Therazino requires Veggie, Kibble or Botany (May soon be updated to include Bronto there too)
- Alphas, Giga and Mosa require Mutton or Kibble
- Titan requires Kibble
Thought that would be a good balance.

I seem to be having trouble replacing my .sav file. My friend spent something like a month or so testing out different combos of taming methods and now I wish to experience the fruits of their labor, but when I try to put the save file in, it just reverts to my old save. Is there something I am doing wrong?

The mod will now auto reset and update an older save file to update for Genesis creatures. You can add the following to your ini to prevent it.

[ImmersiveTamingSettings]
DisableUpdateSave=True

That did it! Though I first put it in game.ini when i needed it in the usersettings.ini. Thank you so much, and the response time of less than six minutes was utterly amazing. This is the best mod, and it seems to have the best authors. Thanks again.

Is it possible to put this code in a regular format that can be open with simple Text, like most I've seen before, please?

What application do I need to install in order to modify "ImmersiveTamingSettings.sav" file? I am trying to make the trophy bait components substitute different resources found in ark. I.e. Human Hair can be substituted with pelt.

I don't know.

You don't modify it directly. You set it how you want in game, using the taming journal - set it on your hotbar and place it like a structure, then hold E for selection wheel, and use "Edit Immersive Taming Settings" or whatever it is. Then that will save the settings you used to that file to share with others or to back it up to another location.
What you're trying to do is not done with that file anyway. You want to edit the Game.INI file with the commands to change crafting costs. This is what the server config on the wiki has:

ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="PrimalItem_WeaponStoneHatchet_C",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Thatch_C",BaseResourceRequirement=1.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemAmmo_ArrowStone_C",BaseResourceRequirement=2.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false)))

You'll have to get the Item Class String of the baits you want to change, and put in what you want. If you need more help, PM me, and I'll give it a go. There's plenty of info out there, you just have to adapt it to your needs.
