Reaper taming
So I'm just more curious are reapers naturally enabled to be tameable via this mod? If so is it just the makes or how does it pick which ones are tameable?

All Reapers except for the Alpha actually have "Can be Tamed" enabled on them. It's just in the regular game there's no way to actually tame them.

These reapers will respond to baits, and require a Drake Feather trophy bait for combat taming by default.

However, if playing on Aberration or any custom map that includes them, the spawner they spawn from may force disable taming on them (similar to how the game prevents taming some creatures in caves). On Ab,this happens for all surface Reapers, and selectively across the map depending on area.

Due to this, there's really no way to tell if a Reaper has taming force disabled, unless you throw a bait and wait for reaction. Some fancy spyglasses might expose this though.

Hope this helps!

No to throw the bait do I have to wait till it's out of the ground or will it pull it out of the ground?
Ohey, I tamed a Subterranan Reaper King, he's a good boy but I can't seem to be able to jump with it. I'm wondering if its cuz its not a 'normal' reaper? I mean, everything else still works for it, but wondering if yall have had that happen too? o:

It'll cause them to come out.

I believe that variant doesn't have jumping enabled by default, due to it not traditionally being able to be tamed.

When u say all reapers can be tamed, does that mean the reaper queen too? Just thinkin since theres no normal reaper kings on aberration only subterranan and surface.

queen is tamable, and you can use its impreg attack at will. not sure what happens on success, cannot preg yourself, has roughly same stats as a tamed Subterranean reaper (more health less attack though). both are weaker than born reapers... similarly with all wyvern/drakes and other special born tames.

Hello, was wondering if maybe someone could help me on this page. Im playing on the VOlcano mod map and tamed a Surface Reaper King only to have it randomly disappear after a certain point of being tamed. It has happened twice now. Wasn't sure if there was an issue with the map the mod, or both of them together. Or if it's just me. Thanks

Surface Reaper Kings on the Aberration map have a built in mechanic that will cause them to bury away and despawn when it becomes day time. This could be a part of why that happens, but it needs further testing since none of the Surface Reapers on Ab are tameable by default.

Ohhh. So that's what you can do if you tame a Queen. Kinda underwhelming for singleplayer unfortunately... :(

Quick question, how are Feroxs tamed? :steammocking:

So are you possibly going to impliment the abilty for queens to well impregnate players after taming?

I'd recommend the no untamables mod, since it adds in tamable queens that can impregnate players through the ini settings

won't that conflict with this mod since its another taming mod?
