Not on v2.0 but on v2.1
- Either raw bait or arrow bait transform to loot bag when throwed
- When you put raw bait to your slot bar it duplicate the stack in your inventory and the new one is a fake one : not usable, not dropable (and the blueprint in the slot bar ...)
The food ingredient of each bait requires the exact class. It's to prevent being able to make Raw Meat bait with Fish Meat, as Fish Meat is a child class of Raw Meat in the Dev Kit.
I don't really use stacking mods, but I believe they actually create child classes of the main items, and it's within the child classes that they adjust the weight and stack size. Due to this, as the stacking mod Fish Meat is actually a child class of Fish Meat, it's technically not the same class, and therefore would not be considered valid for crafting.
You may want to reach out to a mod author of a stacking mod to confirm this however.
edit: plus it worked before update with same stacking mod, def crafted fish bait already.
and side note to ur discovery: raw mutton seems to get pulled (by s+ pull feature) and works in the recipe for the prime meat bait, too.
also, i am still having a problem taming hyenadon immersively. they seem to randomly lose the buff, no text explaining why.
Also, I'm losing alot of baits (arrow and regular) through the ground. The animals notice and walk over to where the bait should be, but since it's not there they simply stand there for a while (until the bait despawns perhaps?)

2) Suggest you try taming a dod with your arrow baits. They will go on follow and not stop. And as they cannot eat bait while on FOLLOW they are untamable unless you are lucky and they dont get a FOLLOW in before completion.

Effect is 1 bag will be available for throwing in the action bar, 9 will remain in the players bags AND a phantom stack which cannot be thrown, used, or crafted into arrows is created in the players bag.

Only a log off and login will resolve this phantom stack.
2)Currently tamed a 145 turtle (48 interactions ish) - only one PET and no CARE FOR at all. Consider allow 1 CARE FOR per 20 lvls of tame? No tames made since this comment have allowed a CARE FOR.
