Help with Aquatic Taming

Hey there! I'm having a hell of a time getting any underwater dinos (aside from coelacanths) to take bait is there something I'm doing wrong? For the most part I've just been dropping fish bait into the sea, but I also tried the balloons to have them float on water. Any advice?

what are you taming ?

i personally am not having problems on the server i play on.

Just have to make sure your near the animal or use crossbow to shoot the bait to the front of the dino.

Also check the book and ensure you using one of the baits recommended - usually its the wrong bait that might be the reason.
