However, if you are outside your colony and attempt to reset a rider when leaving, say, an encounter map your mounts are still immediately lost forever, which is just... what. Why. Why does a horse riding mod and an space ship mod cause such a weird and irritating problem when used together.
My current colony in the tundra is experiencing this with a warg. I saw in the bugs forum from a month or so ago on this issue that a Harmony log could be generated by pressing ctrl +F12. However, when I tried that key combination, it just toggles my UI. I'm more than happy to provide a log, or otherwise help, but not sure how.
I'm also able to produce traces if necessary.

Moved a few tiles away and made camp with the Make Camp mod.
I reformed the caravan, set my pawn as riding the muffalo.
Immediately got the Caravan Lost message informing me that my Muffalo was gone.

Also, I use more mods than I can count. So, I always assume it's a mod conflict issue.
It'd just be nice to figure out which one so I can try to find some kind of fix.
