Animals disappearing while on caravan. Can't set riders
Hello. Did you change something recently? I started Rimworld today and the game downloaded some workshop content. (not sure if its giddy up) Now when I form a caravan, i select my people, then select my animals. Everything is fine up until then. Then i select which rider for the mount and the animals available start disappearing from the bottom of the list and I can no longer assign people to mounts. I have to hit reset to get the full list of animals to re-appear. My caravans only work when I go old school and walk on foot.

When I reform the caravan, the bottom animal is not shown (greyed line no animal pic or info), all it has is the green checkmark to the right.

Had to disable your mod. It is not working. Was working perfectly until today. No changes to my mod list were made.

Fixed! So glad to have it back! Fast map travel 4TW.

So this bug/gamebreaking incompatibility with Save Our Ship 2 still exists, it's just weirder now. You can set riders on a caravan leaving your colony and the pawns will mount up and ride out normally, however, they won't actually "invite" the animals to join the caravan. Instead of following the other caravan members around during the organization process, they just continue acting normally and the riders have to go find them (possibly on the other side of the damn map) to mount up. That's annoying, but not gamebreaking.

However, if you are outside your colony and attempt to reset a rider when leaving, say, an encounter map your mounts are still immediately lost forever, which is just... what. Why. Why does a horse riding mod and an space ship mod cause such a weird and irritating problem when used together.

I just got this error earlier this evening as well -- also running SoS2. I can't remember if my previous SoS2 game (earlier this week, but also after the recent combat update) had the issue. That colony started in the desert and I didn't really have much in the way of pack animals worth riding.

My current colony in the tundra is experiencing this with a warg. I saw in the bugs forum from a month or so ago on this issue that a Harmony log could be generated by pressing ctrl +F12. However, when I tried that key combination, it just toggles my UI. I'm more than happy to provide a log, or otherwise help, but not sure how.

Just got hit with the same issue. Figured it was a random event or something that made my muffalos go *poof*, but yeah. Space ships vs pack animals.
I'm also able to produce traces if necessary.

I'm having this issue too. I was leaving a camp riding an animal, and the animal was left behind in the camp. At least it didn't poof.

I appear to still be experiencing the caravan issue when I use this mod in conjunction with Save Our Ship 2. I have tried experimenting with load order changes, but nothing seems to help. Has anyone figured anything out?

not using sos2 and my mounted animals always get lost when i reform the caravan. RIP alpacas

this bug is back again, set rider and then no rider, after forming caravan saying animal lost...

Yeah, I'm having the "animal lost" bug as well, and I'm not even using SOS2. Set a rider, and the animal and everything it has is lost. Anyone have a fix or anything?

I loaded my game, made a caravan with 1 pawn and 1 muffalo.
Moved a few tiles away and made camp with the Make Camp mod.
I reformed the caravan, set my pawn as riding the muffalo.
Immediately got the Caravan Lost message informing me that my Muffalo was gone.

Also, I use more mods than I can count. So, I always assume it's a mod conflict issue.
It'd just be nice to figure out which one so I can try to find some kind of fix.

got animals lost upon trying to reform caravan and go home as well, after it prompted me to pick riders again. I'll just remove this one and use the other ones, I care for animals more than pawns lmao

Ohhh I have this problem and I have the ship mod too, great to know what’s causing it. I thought it was random
